Steve Burch
Steve's passion is to empower and lead creative teams: as an experienced Producer / Line Producer, production manager, trainer and educator. With a track record of delivering the creative elements of commercials, movies, corporate videos and digital material, he has a strong reputation within the special effects & animation community in both Hollywood & Europe.
Formerly a head of Effects on Los Angeles based Warner Brothers Osmosis Jones & Dreamworks Joseph:King of Dreams features, his key strengths include the ability to assemble & lead high performing international creative teams from 10 to 200 people, a track record of delivering outsourced projects from multiple offshore companies to enable value and reduced costs whilst enhancing creative studios capability and profile.
A 26 year veteran of the animation industry Steve has worked on 11 features, numerous commercials including Brad Bird's modern classic The Iron Giant, and feels privileged to have worked alongside three other Oscar winning directors: Michael Dudock Dewit, Alexandra Petrov and Mark Andrews.
Drawing upon his expert industry experience as a CGI technical director, CGI & 2D effects animator (American Tail 2, Were Back and Balto, Space Jam) and visual effects artist Quest for Camelot, Prince Caspian, he has designed and delivered training both private fee paying CGI tuition Academies Trumax Academy, and traditional academic environments The Glasgow School of Art and Kingston University teaching to B.A. BSc, BDes, MA and MSc level.
As a consultant Steve has delivered creative training, assessed, developed and improved studios productive workflow in Europe, North America & Asia, and empowered existing creative staff. Enabling them to deliver both practical creative input and pipeline efficiencies into existing busy studio environments.
Steve is based in London - currently working on an animated App and developing a CGI animated feature.
